“Dance has enriched my life immeasurably. One of my very first memories is watching The Nutcracker in the Royal Festival Hall, aged 3, and my nan having to weigh down the seat with coats because it kept closing with me in it! In childhood, I spent many happy hours in dance classes. As an adult, I have been lucky enough to watch my children move up through ballet, tap and modern grades, and have enjoyed seeing their friends, the next generation of young dancers, hone their craft in a local dance school.
Most of all, throughout my life I have been fortunate to watch incredible dance performances –and performers. I am honoured to act as a DPF Trustee and support a charity that offers such vital, targeted help to dance professionals – artists, teachers and practitioners – when they need it most.”
